Toshihiro Nakamura is a greatly motivated character animator. He set out to fulfill his dream in 2000 by entering the CG industry of Japan and now continuing to pursue even a greater goal in the worldwide industry of animation.Having 6 years of CG Generalist experience in the VFX industry in Japan, he created many TV commercials, dramas, films and music videos for a few of the Japanese Broadcasting Networks. In the United States, he worked as an After Effects Lead in the animated short film "The Dam Keeper" which was nominated by the Berlin International Film Festival and a few other film festivals. He also participated as an animator in the collaborative project for the animated promotional video “AYO” in 2011, which won an Audience Choice Award in Fall Animation Festival in Academy of Art University.
Being an active and collaborating student in the Pixar classes at Academy of Art University and another animation workshop called Animation Collaborative, he continued to sharpen his animation skills even further. Toshihiro is due to earn the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fall 2014.Currently, Toshihiro is actively participating in the collaborative projects such as “Aria for a Cow” by Dan Lund. And he is also working as an Art and Animation Director in “The Snake & The Fox” animated short film which will be announced soon in Spring 2014.
